About Washington High School and Academy

Located in the heart of Princess Anne, Maryland, Washington High School & Academy is the proud home of the Jaguars. Serving students from across Somerset County Public Schools, the school is committed to academic achievement, leadership development, and preparing students for success beyond graduation. With a strong connection to Maryland’s Eastern Shore community, Washington High School & Academy provides opportunities for students to grow both in the classroom and through a wide range of extracurricular activities that promote teamwork, character, and personal responsibility.

Jaguars athletics play a vital role in school culture, bringing together students, families, and fans in support of their teams. Washington competes in a variety of sports, including football, basketball, soccer, softball, baseball, and field hockey, with student-athletes representing their school with pride, determination, and sportsmanship. Wearing the maroon and gold, the Jaguars strive for excellence on every field and court while building the work ethic, resilience, and team-first mindset that define Washington High School athletics.
